BACK TO my blog

The way I met Jennifer and Kevin was like any other. I had a couple reschedule their session for Saturday so I had planned to sleep in a little bit, go to the gym for a good workout then go get my nails done and just take the day to relax in preparation for the upcoming busy weeks ahead of me. Little did I know I would get woken up with a phone call from a panicked Bride, Jennifer, in tears because her wedding photographer couldn’t show up the day of her wedding. Not only that, the photographer had poor communication throughout the whole process. Jennifer wasn’t given any timeline at all for her intimate wedding happening at her home that afternoon. I immediately calmed Jennifer down, told her I am available and we got to discussing everything. Within the hour of our phone call I had coordinated her timeline and sent her the copy putting her completely at ease and releasing her and her future husband, Kevin from any stress.

This couple was so down to earth and in love, the look they gave each other throughout the night spoke for the emotions they feel for one another and it truly was inspiring and beautiful.

Their home is located in a big field, and was the perfect place to have an intimate 40 guest ceremony. They had Kevin’s children in the wedding party as well as Jennifer’s cousin and Kevin’s close friend as best man and maid of honor.

Jennifer’s emotional first look with her step-children:

The ceremony was simple and sweet with Jennifer and Kevin surrounded by love from their closest family members and friends.

The evening was all about Kevin and Jennifer’s love.
It was the perfect backyard wedding, Jennifer did great with planning and decorating!

Jennifer and Kevin originally planned to be married on May 2, 2020, but the pandemic changed those plans. They saved their wedding cake from 2 years ago, and said it was still delicious, even after being frozen for 2 years!

It was such a pleasure to meet this great couple. The endless thank you’s from Kevin, Jennifer and all of their guests was one of the main reasons I love what I do. It’s not just the love of capturing the biggest moment in your love story thus far, but being trusted to be that one person my couples can turn to and have their issues resolved so they have the perfect, stress free wedding day they’ve been dreaming of for months…with the perfect portraits ;)
